ENERGY AND NUTRITION FROM microALGES
HAEMATOCOCCUS ASTAXANTINA
Haematococcus pluvialis is a unicellular green alga. It tends to turn deep red under stressed conditions (water shortages or high solar radiation). This color is due to astaxantina build-up inside the cell.
Astaxantina is a carotinifaciens; it has important antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
Research, development and production
of astaxantina
In our R&D department we are developing new pharmaceutical products and food supplements from algae. The constant research in cooperation with the best Universities, led to the development of a little-known field with great potential.
The patented closed circuit technology without contact with air allows to obtain 100% organic products, as opposed to the open ponds technology, which are usually contaminated by external agents.
It can be used in case of:
- Degeneration of the macula, leading cause of blindness in the elderly population.
- Hypercholesterolaemia.
- Inflammatory disorders, chronic viral and auto-immune diseases.
- Dyspepsia.
- Increasing in male fertility.
- Improvement in muscular functions.
- Protection from UV radiation.
- Depression.
- Increases muscle power, boosts endurance level, improves recovery from human performances.
- Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s desease, two of the most important degenerative diseases.
- Benign prostatic hyperplasia.
- Cardiac rate normalization.
- Stroke.
- Tendinits and carpal tunnel syndrome.
- Repetitive stress injury.
- Rheumatoid Arthritis.
- Poisoning.
- Diabetes.
